Since April 2004, SGDA have been working
closely with South Gloucestershire Council Social Services Department to make
sure that referrals for environmental aids are processed as
quickly as possible.
If you are struggling to hear (or do not hear at all) certain things in your
home, such as the television, doorbell or telephone/fax then you should
contact SGDA.

A member of staff will then visit you at your home to discuss your difficulties.
We will show you a range of equipment that may help you. You can see a few of
these by clicking here.
After the home visit we will write up all the details you have given us and pass
them on to Community Care Department. They will then check to see if you meet
the Fair Access to Care Services Criteria.

If your referral meets the criteria then Social Services will provide the
equipment on loan to you. A technician will contact you to install it.

Remember you can always come to Frome House to try any of the demonstration
equipment including television aids, telephone amplifiers, doorbells etc. If you
feel you need help please do not hesitate to contact us.
